About Us

The purpose of the Florida School Finance Officers Association shall be to create and promote public interest in the cause of public education; toa help secure uniform accounting and reporting; improve business management practices and to cooperate with other organizations promoting public education.

FSFOA is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1948.  Our voting members are Finance Officers from the sixty-seven school districts in the State of Florida.  Our non-voting members include finance officers from other schools such as Florida Virtual School, Charter Schools and Lab Schools.  Members of our Board of Directors are elected annually from our members.  We work corroboratively to accomplish our mission which is shown above.  We offer training twice a year at our June and November conferences.  Speakers include staff from the Department of Education, subject matter experts from all parts of the United States and Finance Officers that share best practices found throughout the State of Florida.
